How to Select the Right Hydraulic Cylinder

  1. Step 1: Determine required force (tons)
    Calculate using: Force (kN) = Pressure (bar) × Piston area (cm²) / 10. Our engineers can help you with this calculation.
  2. Step 2: Choose mounting style
    Common: clevis, trunnion, flange, or foot mount. Tell us your equipment interface.
  3. Step 3: Select stroke length
    Measure the distance between retracted and extended positions. Add 10-20 mm for safety margin.
  4. Step 4: Specify operating environment
    Indoor/outdoor, temperature range, corrosive media – affects seal material and rod coating choice.
  5. Step 5: Request a quote
    Send your specifications to our engineers for a free proposal and CAD drawing review.
